They're two pop legends who have had a turbulent friendship for over 50 years. 

And Sir Rod Stewart took a cheeky dig at his pal Elton John on Wednesday as he did an impersonation of him live on stage.

  And Rod Stewart and his wife Penny Lancaster appeared to be lapping up the sunshine on their holiday, as they relaxed on a luxury yacht off the coast of Elba Island.

The couple appeared to be in holiday mode as they reclined on the floating inflatable, joined by their sons Alistair, 16, and Aiden, 11.

Rod, who was wearing a white flat cap, was also seen swimming in the sea with his wife as they cooled off from the Italian sunshine.

Ever the gentleman, Rod was seen helping Penny back onto the vessel as she climbed the boat's steps following their dip.

They have been stopping off at different destinations in Italy while staying on a luxurious £274,000 a week superyacht.

And Rod Stewart, 74, spent some quality time with his second eldest child Kimberley, 42, during their vacation on Thursday, as the family arrived on the island of Ponza.

During the daytime outing, Kimberley looked incredible in a pink paisley print maxi dress as she strolled around with her famous dad.

Rod showed his 1.1 million Instagram followers that he has two Celtic flags stuck to the window of his five star hotel room.

The Stewart clan have been enjoying some time together in celebrity vacation hotspot Portofino, with Penny taking to Instagram on Monday to post a picture of them all standing in front of a yacht in the harbour.
