Finale: Stan Terry was always going to be a hard act to follow in which he has performed at every single
BW up to this one. Due to circumstances beyond our control, Stan couldn't make it this year. Hats off to Ian and Alison who booked this little gem in Robert Wright, a Rod tribute a few of us had previously seen in Blackpool last year. He had gone
on record before the show saying that he was 'bricking' it having to sing in front of Mary and the RSFC. He needn't have worried...he absolutely 'smashed' it! 

Sunday night is also fancy dress and this
particular year took us back in time to the 70's and the 'Top of the Pops' era. It was great to see Johnny Macs' Faithful band still here partying with us all late into Monday morning.

A huge thank you to everyone that participated in buying raffle tickets over the weekend and taking part in the auctions in which all monies raised will go to Rod's chosen charity, Celtic FC Foundation.

It's hard to believe that John McLaughlin was an unknown club artist to all of us just three, four years ago, then came the invite from Rod to join him on his UK tour as long as he could put a band together...and now here we have Johnny Mac and the Faithful gracing our Big Weekend. Their performance the previous evening on the big stage was incredible and Big Weekenders were treated to a more intimate performance during Sunday afternoon. It was like they were playing in your own front room someone described. Johnny Mac has so much energy, makes one wonder does he ever stop or rest! Maybe Celtic's win against Rangers earlier that day had something to do with it!
